My windows system after a security update started telling me that my computer is not connected to the internet when it is

After a windows security update my system stopped allowing me to login due to some network configuration error telling me I'm not connected to the internet while I clearly am connected to the internet forcing me to reinstall windows 11 several times and counting.

So I tried to lookup how to remove the startup login screen and password and it didn't like that and the configuration settings are not setup properly.

After trying to remove the security update or last update I still had the same problem and even a system reset did not fix it.

I am not sure what to do, its not a work station. I can't be expected to reinstall windows everytime I need to use the computer and the internet.

That being said the banking and financial services are still not working correctly and the external banks internal support staff afre still not posting credit note or updating transaction history for the retail supplier settlements so my new laptop computers have not been dispatched and are not arriving.

I don't know what to do or how to fix it but contacting microsoft, google, the bank, the fintech developers doesn't work.

I think I need a back end sql server or cloud server setup and authorised access credentials created so that I can sync pops from the fitech bank to the external bank servers and cryptoexchange dashbaord servers. but thats just an opinion there may be a better way to go about it thats more efficient and easier to follow instructions?!

    Hi @John Patrick Oldfield

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for your sharing. Based on your information, the "No Internet" error you are encountering after the security update is an authentication problem in the Windows security layer. It prevents the login screen from recognizing your connection, leading to the loop you've experienced.

Could you please follow these steps and update me on the outcome?

    • Access Safe Mode: On the login screen, hold the Shift key while clicking Power > Restart. Once the menu appears, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart. After the reboot, press 5 (or F5) for Safe Mode with Networking.
    • Reset the Network: Right-click the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin) or Terminal (Admin). Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each:
        netsh winsock reset
        netsh int ip reset
        ipconfig /flushdns

    • Switch to a Local Account: To prevent this from happening again, go to Settings > Accounts > Your Info and select "Sign in with a local account instead." This allows you to log in without needing an active internet handshake.

Please note that as a moderator, my role is to provide general technical guidance and route you to the appropriate support channels; however, I cannot directly resolve issues specific to external fintech or banking services.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to your reply.
