I have a valid subscription to Microsoft 365 Basic for Mac. I can not edit existing Word documents even when I log in. Upon log-in, I get "Error 400". Or it says "No Microsoft 365 found".

As Emily wrote, the Basic subscription doesn't include the full version desktop software. You do have access to the Office Online web apps through your browser. The web apps are somewhat limited but may satisfy your needs.

    Hello,

Microsoft 365 Basic is only for 100GB of OneDrive storage, it doesn't include Office apps. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/p/microsoft-365-basic/cfq7ttc0ktxs
