How did you obtain your license initially?
Did it come with the device preinstalled, or did you purchase it?
If you purchased it, did you purchase from Microsoft, or from third party?
Is it originally a Win7/8 key?
Just to make sure, is motherboard changed?
Hi cannot remember how I got it, but in saying that I did write the activation key down on a piece of paper. Which honestly found, if memory serves me correct. Purchased around 3 yrs ago
Without all of the information, it will be very challenging to troubleshoot. Different types of licenses follow different method. Also can you answer - is motherboard changed?
Can you download and install an app called ShowKey Plus from Microsoft Store app, then put in the key in the Check Edition section, and check to see what it says.
