Hi,

I need help and need someone to explain something to me my word document says a completely different time and date under the created date and time, under the statistics heading going (File, Properties, statistics) and therefore the editing time is completely wrong. When I draft my documents Im on a MacBook Air and don't save it for the first time until I have finished writing. I close and open my MacBook multiple times throughout the process as well.

Thanks in advance,

The issue you're experiencing with the created date and time in your Word document may be related to how the application records file times. When you draft a document and do not save it until the end, the created date may reflect the time of the first save rather than the time you started working on it. Additionally, closing and reopening your MacBook could potentially affect how Word tracks the editing time, as it may only record the time the document was open, not the actual time spent actively working on it.

If you need to check the original editing time, consider looking at the document properties before saving or applying any security tags, as this might help retain the original metadata. However, keep in mind that the editing time statistic is often not reliable since it only tracks the time the document was open.
