Dear Sirs,

Whenever I create a recurring meeting in Teams, or any other meeting, the session ends after one hour and all participants have to re‑enter using the link. It is neither convenient nor practical. Why does this happen, and how can I resolve it?

Thank you.

    Hello,

What type of account do you use?

Are you using a personal Microsoft account, or a work/school account?

If it is a personal Microsoft account, do you have any type of subscription, such as Microsoft 365 Personal or Family?

In Microsoft Teams, the default duration for meetings is set to one hour, which can cause sessions to end after that time. This is particularly common for recurring meetings. To resolve this issue, you can adjust the meeting duration when you create the meeting. Here are a few steps you can take:

    1. Change Meeting Duration: When scheduling a meeting, you can set a longer duration than one hour. This can be done in the meeting settings when you create or edit the meeting.
    2. Use a Recurring Meeting: If you are using a recurring meeting, ensure that the recurrence pattern is set appropriately to allow for longer sessions.
    3. Check Meeting Policies: Sometimes, the meeting policies set by your organization may limit the duration of meetings. You may need to contact your Teams administrator to check if there are any restrictions in place.

If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.
