Hello,

Is this computer provided by a school or company, or is it a personal device you bought? The error code 0xC004F074 means Windows is trying to connect to a corporate activation server, which is common for business PCs but usually incorrect for home users.

To confirm exactly how it is set up, please press Windows + R, type cmd and press Enter. Type the command slmgr /dlv and press Enter. Tell me what the Description or Product Key Channel line says in the popup window. A screenshot is better though!

Your computer is currently set to the Volume channel (KMSCLIENT), which is a license type intended for large organizations that activate via a company server. Since you are likely a home user, your computer cannot reach that server, causing the activation failure.

This often happens if a PC repair shop installed Windows for you using a generic key, or if the device was previously owned by a company.

We need to check if your computer actually has a valid factory license embedded in the motherboard so you don't have to buy one. Please type this command into your Command Prompt window and press Enter:

wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey

Does it display a 25-character product key, or is it blank? (Please do not post the actual key here, just let me know if one appears).

The command came up blank, so your motherboard has no license built into it.

This means that the Volume license currently installed is invalid for your device (it's meant for corporate servers), and you don't have a valid digital license to fall back on. This is very common with PCs from repair shops or second-hand builds where they didn't pay for a real Windows copy.

To fix this, you will need to buy a legitimate product key for Windows 11 Pro.

Once you have purchased a key (or if you find one you already bought in an email/box), go to Settings > System > Activation > Change product key and enter it there. That will convert your system to a legal Retail license and stop the expiration messages.
