Sent Items Folder Emptied

Hotmail account sent items have disappeared. They are not in deleted and can't locate them in search. Recent items are saving again in sent folder

    Microsoft doesn't keep backups of your mailbox. If the messages are not in the Sent Items folder, the Deleted Items folder of the "Recover items deleted from this folder" folder at the top of Deleted Items, then they are not recoverable. It is wise to make backups of any data you deem important.
