Is Visual Studio 2008 comaptible to SQL Server 2019?

We have an old product using Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008.
Since SQL Server 2008 is not supported in Windows 10, we have to upgraded it to SQL Server 2017 or SQL Server 2019.
Can we still use Visual Studio 2008?

VS2008 reached end of life on April 10, 2018, https://devblogs.microsoft.com/visualstudio/end-of-support-for-visual-studio-2008-in-one-year but SQL Server 2019 was only released on Nov 4, 2019, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/sql-server-2019. The two have no overlap so you know Microsoft never tested that combination.
