I need key vault urls consumed by deleted key vaults on a deleted subscription. How do I get these urls back? I was the owner of the subscription that was deleted. And the owner of those key vaults. purge docs don't cover this scenario as far as I can tell.

Since I couldn't submit this request through our support plan, I need the support plan refunded.

I also need my azure function (for use with the azure acmebot for let's encrypt) quotas increased from zero. (This, theoretically has a ticket created)

Thanks!

Hello Derrek Leute,

Azure Key Vault deletion is handled at the service level and is independent of subscription deletion. Deleted Key Vaults enter a soft‑deleted state and their DNS names remain globally reserved. The documented soft‑delete retention period represents a maximum recovery window, not a guaranteed minimum name lock duration. Name release is asynchronous and depends on backend determination that the vault is no longer recoverable.

This is expected by‑design behavior and no data exposure or tenant isolation issue exists and that name reuse timing is not user‑configurable or deterministic. Advised assuming full retention period for planning and using unique Key Vault names when recreating resources.

And as per your update the KV was purged and you were able to reclaim the names.
