If you're not receiving the authentication request in your Microsoft Authenticator app, there could be several reasons for this issue:

    1. Network Issues: Ensure that your device has a stable internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or cellular data. The Authenticator app requires an internet connection to receive notifications.
    2. App Permissions: Check if the Authenticator app has the necessary permissions to send notifications. You can do this in your device's settings under the app permissions section.
    3. App Updates: Make sure that your Microsoft Authenticator app is updated to the latest version. An outdated app may have bugs that affect its functionality.
    4. Anomalous Sign-ins: Starting in August 2023, notifications for anomalous sign-ins do not generate alerts. If you suspect your sign-in is anomalous, you may need to manually open the app to approve the sign-in request.
    5. Third-party Security Apps: If you have any third-party security apps installed, they may block notifications from the Authenticator app. Try disabling these apps temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

If the problem persists, consider using alternative authentication methods, such as receiving a verification code via SMS or a phone call, until the issue with the app is resolved.
