    Hi Greg Wolf,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

Windows Media Player uses an additional database provider to display album data, and it seems like their databases was down for quite some time. Please be patient while they are doing their maintenance at their end. This situation has been reported by many users.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

Given these limitations, the most appropriate avenue for product changes or feature requests is to contact Microsoft Support or Send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app.

The context provided does not contain specific information regarding why Windows Media Player may not be uploading album information anymore. Issues with uploading album info could stem from various factors such as network connectivity, changes in the service that provides metadata, or settings within Windows Media Player itself. For troubleshooting, you might want to check your internet connection, ensure that the media library settings are correctly configured, or verify if there are any updates available for Windows Media Player that might address this issue.
