I am the organizer of our family group. I'm trying to edit screen limits within the group, but every time I try I get a notice that something went wrong and I need to try again. What is going on?

This issue is usually caused by a temporary service outage, a sync problem between devices, or an account configuration issue. First, please try signing out and back into your Microsoft account, then check screen limits again using the web version of Microsoft Family Safety instead of the app. You can manage screen time here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/set-screen-time-limits-across-devices-a593d725-fc4c-044c-284d-32eab0305ffd.

If the issue continues, make sure all family members are using Microsoft accounts, not local accounts, and that devices are fully updated. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/troubleshooting-microsoft-family-safety-e1fb76e6-a320-4496-beeb-bb363378c6d8

Does the error happen on all devices or only one, and are you using Windows, Xbox, or mobile devices to set the limits?

It seems like you are experiencing issues with editing screen limits in your family group. This could be due to a temporary glitch or a problem with the Microsoft Family Safety service. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Refresh the Page: Sometimes, simply refreshing the page can resolve temporary issues.
    2. Check for Updates: Ensure that your Microsoft Family Safety app is up to date, as updates often fix bugs and improve functionality.
    3. Try a Different Browser or Device: If you are using a web browser, try accessing the Family Safety settings from a different browser or device.
    4. Clear Cache and Cookies: Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can help resolve issues related to loading settings.
    5. Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for further assistance.

If you continue to face issues, it may be a broader problem with the service that could require a fix from Microsoft.
