My ex partner has accessed my onedrive account from a different PC. Microsoft have seen that and decided to freeze my account. The onedrive contains years and years worth of accounts for the charity I support as well as personal documents. I have sent several sets of information to prove that the account is mine but they just ignore me.

I can prove the account is mine (it is not this account but very similar sounding). How can I get in touch with the fraud team to get some kind of response?

It is vital I get these documents, if we get audited I won't be able to produce documents. On top of that Microsoft are billing me for 365 and sending the bills via that account, which I have no access to!

Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

Please note we’re not Microsoft but fellow users like yourself & have no access to accounts.

    Try recovering your account here:

    Locked account:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/account-has-been-locked-805e8b0d-4141-29b2-7b65-df6ff6c9ce27

    Or:

    Can’t sign in:

You can try also https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact & choose Account Recovery.

If none of the above work then you’ll require the account recovery form:

    https://account.live.com/acsr

Please note if you have 2/multi factor authentication active on your account then you cannot use the form to recover the account.

If you’re successful in changing the details then you may find that the account is limited for 30 days, this is a security feature & cannot be circumvented.

To regain access to your OneDrive account and resolve the freezing issue, you should follow these steps:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Since your account has been frozen due to suspicious activity, you need to reach out to Microsoft Support directly. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft support page and selecting the appropriate options for account recovery or security issues.
    2. Provide Documentation: When you contact support, be prepared to provide any documentation that proves your ownership of the account. This may include previous billing statements, account creation details, or any other relevant information.
    3. Fraud Team: If you specifically want to reach the fraud team, mention this in your communication with support. They may direct you to the appropriate department or provide specific instructions on how to escalate your issue.
    4. Billing Issues: For the billing concerns related to Microsoft 365, inform the support team about the situation so they can assist you with stopping the charges while you resolve the access issue.
    5. Alternative Contact Methods: If you are having trouble with online support, consider looking for a customer service phone number or chat option on the Microsoft website, as this may provide a more direct line to assistance.

It is crucial to act quickly, especially with the impending audit, so ensure you follow up persistently until you receive a resolution.
