Creating tenant app catalog site

Please guide me how to create tenant app catalog site?
Do we need to do it from office 365 admin centre? or SharePoint online admin centre?
How many app catalog sites can be created in office 365 or SharePoint online?
If it is only on SharePoint online how do we do it? Please help, and please clarify what is the exact purpose of this app catalog site?

You could create App Catalog from SharePoint online admin centre. You can have only one App Catalog for your organization, and you only need to create it once.
You can acquire solutions from the SharePoint Store or distribute custom apps that can be used across SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Viva Connections by App Catalog site.

Thank you for the follow up and response.

I see one app catalog site in the active sites even through I have not created it, When I configured office 365 admin center it self app catalog site came up in the SharePoint online admin center. how it came with out creating?

and if need to create app catalog site we can create at the site collection level and also at sub site level also right?

An by changing the Product ID of the app, can we use same app across other site collections and sub sites?
What are all will be unique for the apps?

The app catalog could be created automatically.

You could have only one App Catalog for your organization, and you only need to create it once.

Per my test, after adding, you could use app in all site collections without changing Product ID.
