hi, i would like to cancel my microsoft 365 subscription but i am unable to log in to my account as i do not recall what the email or password is, i think it was made as an outlook account but i have one main email address that it keeps logging into. it gets charged out of my bank account and i was wondering if i can still cancel the subscription even if i cant get access to the account. i dont need the account anymore and im being charged £8.49 monthly for something i dont need. can i freeze the payments from my bank? but ideally id like for some one to help me find the account and cancel the whole subscription please help

    Hi Tia Nahar,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum and explaining your situation. I understand how frustrating it is to continue being charged for a Microsoft 365 subscription you no longer need, especially when you can’t remember the email address or password used to create the account.

When you’re unable to sign in to the Microsoft account that owns the subscription, it isn’t possible to cancel it directly from the account side. In this case, the correct next step is to contact Microsoft Support so they can help locate the account linked to the charges and cancel the subscription once ownership has been verified.

    • You can contact Microsoft Support here: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus
    • Briefly describe your issue > Enter
    • Scroll down and select "Contact Support" to connect with a live agent via chat or phone.

Microsoft Support can investigate the billing records (for example, using transaction details from your bank statement) and assist with cancelling the subscription.

Regarding freezing payments through your bank: while your bank may be able to block future charges, this is usually a temporary measure. To avoid ongoing issues, it’s best to have the subscription itself properly cancelled through Microsoft Support.

For your safety, please avoid sharing bank details or personal information publicly.

Hopefully my response gives you some useful directions toward fixing this.
