Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hello Shiva Kumar,
Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand how frustrating this is since you bought a valid product key, but during redemption it only shows a one‑month trial and does not let you complete the activation.
The error ConversionBlockedSyndicated appears when the Microsoft account already has an active “syndicated” subscription (for example, a trial, OEM, carrier‑bundled, or retailer‑managed plan). While that type of subscription is active, Microsoft does not allow a retail product key to be applied or converted, so the system stops the redemption and only offers the trial path.
Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services and check which Microsoft 365 subscription is currently active on the account
If a trial or third‑party subscription is active, you can wait for it to expire, then redeem the Bing Lee product key.
Or contact Microsoft Support and request a manual conversion so the retail key can be applied without losing remaining time:
- Go to Contact Us - Microsoft and sign in your account.
- Type Can't install in the search box.
- Click Get help and Select Contact Support.
- Choose Microsoft 365 and Office as Products and Services; and Technical support as Category
- Click Confirm.
- You can choose to chat with a support representative.
Note: The chat support team only works during certain working hours. Therefore, if the last window indicates that you are unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.
