I purchased Office Home and Student 2007. I do not need microsoft 365 and do not want to pay a monthly subscription fee for something I do not use. I am using windows 11 on my PC. I do not use one drive at all.

Can I uninstall Microsoft 365 and install my 2007 office Home version and still be able to use my office files and have the ability to create and edit my files?

If not, if I change my Microsoft 365 subscription to basic will I be able to use my office files without any issues?

Thank you for your help.

If you uninstall Microsoft 365 and install Office 2007, you should still be able to access and edit all your existing files.

A Microsoft 365 Basic subscription only entitles you to 100GB of OneDrive storage, it does not include the installed version of the Office apps, it only allows access to the free cut-down version of the Office apps in a web browser, those apps have limited functionality compared to the fully installed Office apps, it is only the Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscriptions that allow you to install the Office apps locally on your PC.
