    Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    If the recovery options are not working, the recovery files might be damaged. Try to repair the Windows startup using the recovery environment from an installation media.

    If you don't have an installation media, create one using the Media Creation Tool.

    You can create the installation media on an empty USB flash drive with at least 8GB.

    Below are instructions for creating installation media on a USB flash drive.

    (You will need to create the installation media on a working Windows computer.)

    1. Download the tool from the link below;

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295

    1. Double-click on the downloaded file to run the tool;
    2. If prompted by UAC (User Account Control), click on "Yes";
    3. Read the terms and click "Accept" if you agree;
    4. Uncheck the "Use the recommended options for this PC" box and click "Next";
    5. Select "USB flash drive" and click "Next".
    6. Connect the USB flash drive you want to use, click the "Refresh drive list" link, select the USB flash drive, and click "Next";

    (Note that the files on the USB flash drive will be deleted. Make a backup of the files if necessary.)

    1. Wait for the procedure to finish and click "Finish" when the USB flash drive is ready.

    With the installation media, access the recovery environment as follows:

    1. Start your computer using the installation media;
    2. Choose your language, select "Next", and click "Repair your computer".

    I suggest trying the same options you tried using the Windows Recovery Environment. The difference is that the files from the installation media will be used.

    Regarding the issue of typing a "-" instead of a "/", this is due to the keyboard layout.

    In WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment), look for the keyboard layout selector (usually on the first screen when you enter recovery). Change it to match your actual keyboard.

    Let me know the result.

    Feel free to ask back any questions.

    It seems you're experiencing a significant issue with your Windows 11 installation on your Asus TUF A16 laptop. Since you've already tried several recovery options without success, here are a few additional steps you might consider:

    1. Check Disk Utility: You can run the Check Disk utility to identify and fix file system errors. You can do this by booting into the recovery environment and selecting Command Prompt. Then, run the command chkdsk /f /r on your system drive.
    2. System File Checker: If you can access the Command Prompt, try running the System File Checker by executing sfc /scannow. This will scan for and attempt to repair any corrupted system files.
    3. Boot into Safe Mode: If possible, try booting into Safe Mode. This can sometimes allow you to troubleshoot further or perform repairs without interference from other software.
    4. Windows Recovery Environment: If you can access the recovery options, try selecting "Troubleshoot" and then "Advanced Options" to see if you can access more recovery tools, like Startup Repair or Command Prompt.
    5. Reinstall Windows: As a last resort, if none of the above options work, you may need to consider reinstalling Windows. You can do this by creating a bootable USB drive with the Windows 11 installation media, which will allow you to perform a clean installation. Make sure to back up your data if possible before proceeding with this step.

    If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to contact Microsoft Support or Asus support for further assistance.
