I have the license key purchased in 2019 for a new Lenovo PC. That PC died due to Windows issue in the HDD. I am now on a new PC and would like to be able to use the MS Home & Office software set on this one.

To use your Microsoft Home & Office software on a new PC, you can typically reinstall it using the same license key you purchased in 2019, provided that the license allows for transfer to a new device. Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. Check License Type: Determine if your license is a retail version or an OEM version. Retail licenses are usually transferable to a new PC, while OEM licenses are tied to the original hardware.
  2. Reinstall Office: Go to the Microsoft account services page (https://account.microsoft.com/services) and log in with the Microsoft account associated with your Office purchase. You should see your Office license there, and you can click on the Install button to download the installer.
  3. Activation: During installation, you may be prompted to enter your license key. If you encounter any issues during activation, you may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance.

If your original PC was linked to your Microsoft account, signing in on the new PC should help in reactivating your Office suite without needing the key again.

I hope this helps you get your Microsoft Home & Office software set up on your new PC!
