Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.
If changes are made to your system hardware or BIOS/UEFI settings, Windows may require you to reset your PIN. This occurs when the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) detects changes in its stored memory. So,
According to the Microsoft article, if you remove all of your previous security information and replace it with new information, your account will be placed in a restricted state for 30 days. Microsoft cannot speed up or bypass this 30‑day period in any case.
What does “Security info change is still pending” mean?
In this situation, as you requested, you can perform a full factory reset of the PC to restore it to default settings, and then set up your device using another active Microsoft account. To do this, boot your PCin the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE), here's how:
- Start your device and wait for the Windows logo (or the manufacturer's logo) to appear
- As soon as the Windows logo appears, press and hold the power button until the device shuts down
- Turn your device on again and repeat step 2
- Turn your device on a third time. Windows should display the Automatic Repair screen
- Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove Everything, then proceed with a local reinstall.
Once the reset process is complete, you can set up your system with another Microsoft account that can send or receive verification emails normally.
