Only commercial/business Wi-Fi versions of Surface Pro 11 include an NFC reader.

If you can’t find any NFC settings or an NFC option in Windows, then your unit likely doesn’t have the NFC hardware built in.

Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Airplane mode

Look for an NFC toggle — if it’s completely absent, your unit likely doesn’t have the NFC sensor installed.

    Right-click Start → Device Manager

Look for an NFC category or any device named something like “NFC Controller.” Commercial units are usually marked as “Surface for Business” or “Commercial” on the box or in purchase documentation.

The Surface Pro 11th Edition does support NFC, but it's important to note that NFC functionality is only available on the commercial Wi-Fi versions of the device. If your model is a consumer version or a 5G model, it will not have NFC support. You may not find NFC settings if your specific model does not support it.

For the Surface Pro 11th Edition, NFC is primarily used for authentication and access control, among other applications.
