Hello, I need a simple thing that apparently is so hard to get accomplished !
I need to save locally (or somewhere) some chat's content, so I can retrieved easily at a later stage, pdf possibly. The only way to do that is for me to take snapshot and save it in my relevant folder (where the chat is referring to). I think the Chat should have an option/feature like "Save as..." or similar...
Any hints ?

This is a huge flaw, for me. The ability to save a chat used in a meeting is such a basic feature that it blows my mind that it stoll hasn't been implemented in Teams. And I do mean such a basic feature that I had been planning to use teams for business meetings but will obviously have to take my subscription to Zoom instead, who seem to understand that if you don't have the most basic functionalities like saving a meeting chat quickly and easily, it doesn't really matter how advanced the rest of the features are it simply won't work.
I was quite enthusiastic about starting to use Teams, but now extremely disappointed to have to select a different provider who will at least let me save a meeting chat.
I'm genuinely gobsmacked at how little attention this has received, I've seen so many complaints about this from users online...
There is no way to do this via the client. If you are OK with a programmatic solution, use the recently released Export API: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/blogs/announcing-general-availability-of-microsoft-graph-export-api-for-microsoft-teams-messages/?form=MY01SV&OCID=MY01SV
Other than that, you can use eDiscovery/Content search to export as PST, but you need admin access.
Many thanks ! As an advanced user can be acceptable but Microsoft should release this feature ...user-friedly....anyone can have a need to save locally a chat for future reading.
