To increase the mailbox size to more than 50GB in Microsoft 365, you will need to assign a different subscription license to the user. The size of an Exchange Online mailbox is determined by the subscription license associated with it. The Microsoft 365 Basic subscription typically allows for a maximum mailbox size of 50GB.

    To increase the mailbox size:

    1. As a Microsoft 365 administrator, you can change the user's subscription to a plan that offers a larger mailbox size.
    2. For more information about mailbox size limits for different types of licenses, refer to the Mailbox Storage Limits documentation.

Please note that this feature requires a Microsoft 365 administrator account and is not available for certain Microsoft 365 plans.

    There are two options.

Option 1 is to switch to plan with 100GB Mailbox (E3, E5 or Exchange Online plan 2). But they are much more expensive.

Option 2 is to have Exchange Online Archiving add-on. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/servicedescriptions/exchange-online-archiving-service-description/exchange-online-archiving-service-description
