Hello, I have recently noticed that my security intelligence updates will NOT download automatically. I usually have to go and click "check for updates" to get the latest version. Now my question is, should these updates be downloading automatically? I have a third party anti virus (malawarebytes premium). Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

Hi there,

Is this only with security updates and are all updates installing automatically?

If you have any third-party antivirus the Defender will not work even when updates are installed .
So if this is with all updates try enabling the Update service again and run the SFC & DISM scans.

Try resetting the Update components

Disable the third party AV and recheck. Keeping two AVs may interfere the Windows Update.
