Did anyone ever get the answer of how to change the code to a 6 digit code~? This is one of the most frustrating things I've ever dealt with. (not really, but today, it sure seems like it~!!)
Microsoft authenticator 6 digit code
Is there any way to get the authenticator app to produce 6 digit codes? The financial app that I have it connected to doesn’t accept 8 digit codes and I have to put in my authenticator code to change my 2fa preferences. Has anyone found a solution to this?

I saw somewhere that someone said to go to settings/passwords on an iphone if they have an iphone and find the website in question and you'll see your login name and that will some how show a 6 digit. That's incorrect as well and didn't work for me as I don't even see the account or website in question in the entire list to begin with.

Hope you are having a great day!
Thank you for asking a Question! We are Glad to Assist you!.
I believe you are seeing the 8-digit code on your Authenticator App because the Passwordless signing is enabled for your Microsoft account (personal Microsoft account).
You can identify the same by looking for a key symbol listed on the top of your account in the Authenticator App profile.I would suggest you to take a look at the steps mentioned here and see if this helps:
Let me know if the above solution resolved your issue!
