Are we going to lose our "Microsoft 365 Business Premium (Nonprofit Staff Pricing) Donation"

I am seeing that Microsoft is changing the pricing for the Microsoft 365 Business Premium for non-profits, but I am unclear if we are affected. Currently we have a 10 licence account of "Microsoft 365 Business Premium (Nonprofit Staff Pricing) Donation" for our church and currently have 4 users that are using the Office applications. We do not pay anything for this - which is lovely. I can not find any record of being advised of any change to our status, but see content all over the Web about this change. Our account renewed in April 2025 and is scheduled to renew again in April 2026.

I need to understand if there is anything that I need to do to keep our MS Bsiness Premium status active and our users able to use the applications.

    Hello,

Yes, all nonprofit accounts are affected. Microsoft 365 Premium grant (10 licenses free per organization) is being discontinued.

If you are the organization admin user, you should receive and email from Microsoft Elevate microsoft-noreply@microsoft.com explaining this and what you should do. The email subject is usually "Reminder: Discontinuation of your Microsoft 365 Business Premium grant".

Microsoft is still giving Microsoft 365 Basic for free, for up to 300 licenses. This license however, doesn't provide desktop version of Office apps, like Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. You have to go to www.office.com and use the web version. But you still have OneDrive 1TB, Teams app and Exchange email account.

If you want to use desktop version of Office Apps, you can go to Admin Center > Billing > Purchase products. Search for Microsoft 365, and look under the Nonprofit tab, check the price for Microsoft 365 Standard, it should give you the discounted rate in the nonprofit tab.

Never mind. The e-mail was not forwarded to my support account from the account I never use directly. We're affected.
