Minecraft Username Issue

Unfortunately, I never migrated my account during the window to migrate a Mojang account to a Microsoft account back in 2020-2023. My mom's email was tied to my Mojang account and Minecraft username, so it never got migrated. From my understanding, the usernames are locked away and cannot be reused, but I have proof of purchase of this username on the email it was purchased from, and I have heard that some people have been able to get their original usernames back by providing this proof of purchase. If I could please get some help with this, I am willing to provide all of the needed proof. I just want my childhood username back! I already repurchased Java edition on this account, so I don't care about the money, I just want the username back on this account.

Hi,

Based on your description, you have never migrated your Mojang account to any Microsoft account. According to the Minecraft Article, if you have never migrated your Mojang account to a Microsoft account, it is no longer possible to migrate unmigrated accounts or make the move. Your Mojang account cannot be used anymore, and Microsoft cannot do anything about this since it was never migrated to any Microsoft account.

Those accounts that have been recovered may have already had their Mojang connected to a Microsoft account.
