Hello, i signed up and i am paying for a microsoft 365 BASIC account just to have more space for my emails.

When i look in my outlook account, i have only 5 Gigabytes instead of the 100 G i am paying for (see Screenshot From 2026-02-13 13-46-32.png).

When i go to the Cloud account at https://account.microsoft.com/services

then i can see the full 100 GB and it says outlook uses 4 GB from these (see Screenshot From 2026-02-13 13-46-36.png)

Is there a way for microsoft to fix the display of the storage count in the email address and stop spamming my screen with "Buy more cloud storage" when i have done so already 5 days ago ??

    Hi Remy,

Good day. I'm Jhun an independent advisor. In regards with your OneDrive storage conflicts, It looks like a display/sync mismatch between two different storage indicators in Microsoft’s system. Your Microsoft Account storage shows 100GB shown at https://account.microsoft.com/services is your actual storage. And the Outlook Mailbox quota display that shows 5GB is sometimes an unsync display. This sometimes still shows the old free-tier limit. It may also show the base mailbox limit before expansion is applied. Follow these steps below:

    A. Confirm first that you’re logged in to the correct account.

    Make sure:

    1. The email address in Outlook exactly matches the account that has the paid subscription.
    2. You don’t have multiple Microsoft accounts signed in.
    3. No work/school account is interfering.

    B. Force account refresh.

    1. Log out of Outlook completely.
    2. Clear browser cache.
    3. Log back in.
    4. Or try a private/incognito window.
    5. Sometimes the quota display is cached.

    C. Check Mailbox storage page directly.

    1. Go to https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/general/storage
    2. If this page shows 100 GB, it’s just a UI bug.

    D. Wait 5–7 days. Microsoft storage upgrades sometimes take up to a week to fully propagate across:

    1. Outlook Web
    2. Mobile apps
    3. Storage dashboard
    4. You mentioned it’s been 5 days, you’re right at the edge of that window.

    Regards,
    Jhun
