Hi to all

Before a couple of weeks we change our file server with another one with bigger capacity.
After the change we face the error of the header.
Many user had create many shortcut without facing any issue until the change of the server.

In our domain we run a bat file when the PC start and we delete the old map and create it again
If i even click on the map drive the shortcut work without issue otherwise i receive the same error all the times

I face this problem about 4 or five times the lase two weeks.
All the PC's where i face the problem is Windows 7 OS

PS: The old file server has windows server 2003 and the new has windows server 2012

Thanks and regards.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

    1. Please check in the new File server the Group or Users permissions are identical applied.
    2. Please check share name of folders and Permissions are same as old server.
    3. Right Click on .lnk file and see what is target path of new file server.
    4. Please check if new file server resolve with both hostname and FQDN.
    5. I would also suggest please use GPO for drive mapping instead of .bat file
