If you are encountering an issue where your Windows activation shows that the product key is not valid, it may be due to several reasons. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check the Product Key: Ensure that you are entering the correct product key. Typos or using an incorrect key can lead to this error.
    2. Use a Valid Key: Make sure that the product key you are using is a valid Multiple Activation Key (MAK) or Retail key. If you are using a Volume License Key, ensure that your system has a qualifying operating system installed.
    3. Re-enter the Key: Sometimes, re-entering the product key can resolve the issue. You can do this through the activation settings in Windows.
    4. Activate by Phone: If you continue to have issues, you may need to activate your key by phone. You can do this by running the command slmgr /dti in the command prompt to get your Installation ID, then contacting the Microsoft Licensing Activation Center for a Confirmation ID.
    5. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, it may be best to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the activation issue you are facing.

What happened on your PC before Windows was no longer activated.

    2

Where did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer, and if so, do you have the product key?

Or is your Windows licence based on a previous Windows 7 or 8 licence?

    3

Click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

    slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please post a screenshot of the resulting dialog
