To help narrow down the issue:
- Are you upgrading through Windows Update in Settings, or using the Installation Assistant?
- Is your device compatible with Windows 11 (TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled)?
- Are you getting the error during download or during installation?
In the meantime, if you haven’t already:
Run System File Check:
- Press Start > type cmd
- Right-click Command Prompt > Run as administrator
- Type:
sfc /scannow
- Press Enter and wait for it to finish
- After that, run this command in the same window:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Restart the PC after both commands complete. Then try the upgrade again.
