It says that my 5 day pass is officially over when I say I have a product key, but I have a yearly subscription that lasts for a year. Please help

If you have a subscription which is associated with your Microsoft account, use the account to install and activate Office on your PC. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services . If you have an existing trial version, uninstall that version first.

You can't use the product key more than once (during the initial setup), and if you purchased directly from Microsoft, you usually won't even see a product key at all. The product becomes associated with your account as part of the purchase.

Thank you for letting me know.

You’re seeing that message because the new laptop came with a trial version of Microsoft 365.

Please uninstall all Office apps first from Control Panel > Programs and Features (remove everything related to Office). Then restart the PC and reinstall your subscription directly from https://account.microsoft.com/services under your account.

    Here’s how:

    • Open the Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
    • Look for any version of Microsoft Office or Office apps, right-click, then choose Uninstall. Please uninstall all Office apps.
    • Once that’s done, restart your computer just to be safe.

    Then, to reinstall Microsoft Office:

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
    • Sign in using the same Microsoft account linked to your license.
    • Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and click the "Install".
    • That will download the installer for the Office apps, just run it and follow the steps.

If anything’s unclear or the "Install" option still doesn’t show, feel free to let me know. I’ll be happy to walk you through it!

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

When you try to sign in to Microsoft 365, what exactly happens, do you see any error message? Can you also let me know if you’re able to sign in on your other devices?

If you're unable to log in to Microsoft 365 on your new laptop despite using the correct login details, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check for Existing Devices: Ensure that you have not exceeded the limit of 5 devices. You can manage your devices by visiting your account page at https://myaccount.microsoft.com/device-list and removing any unused devices.
    2. Sign Out and Sign Back In: Sometimes, signing out of your Microsoft 365 account and signing back in can resolve login issues. Open a Microsoft 365 app, select your name or profile picture, and choose to sign out. Then sign back in using your work or school account, not a personal account.
    3. Check License Assignment: Make sure that your user account has the appropriate licenses assigned. If you are not an admin, you may need to contact your Microsoft 365 admin to verify this.
    4. Run the Troubleshooter: You can also run the Microsoft 365 troubleshooter to identify and fix issues related to activation and login. This can be accessed through the Get Help app on Windows.
    5. Reset Activation State: If the problem persists, you may want to reset the activation state for Microsoft 365 Apps. Instructions for this can be found in the Microsoft documentation.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider checking for any specific error messages you might be receiving during the login process, as they can provide further clues to the problem.
