Domain Correction

Question

Hello, I need this case escalated to the Azure Identity Engineering team for an Initial Domain Correction. The domain was mistakenly created by Microsoft Support in 2022. This misspelled domain was set as the initial onmicrosoft.com domain, which makes it undeletable through the Entra Admin Center. Attempts to delete the domain return this error: “Deletion of 1 domain failed. Try again.” Requirements show all ✔ for Users, Groups, and Applications. Because this domain is the tenant’s initial onmicrosoft.com domain, it cannot be removed by standard admin tools. It requires backend engineering action. This aligns with Microsoft’s policy that initial domains cannot be deleted or corrected via the UI and must be fixed by engineering. I need the engineering team to: Replace the incorrect initial domain hometechcanda.onmicrosoft.com Set my correct tenant domain for the initial domain: or my current correct Microsoft-enforced domain Remove the incorrect domain from the tenant once the replacement is complete
