A refund may be possible if the purchase was made through the Microsoft Store and the order meets the refund conditions.
For Minecraft bought digitally on a Windows PC or Xbox via Microsoft Store:
- Go to the Xbox support page to Request a refund for digital games and sign in.
- Select the Minecraft purchase from your order list.
- Choose Request a refund.
- Enter the reason (for example, region/usage issue) and select Next.
- Review and select Submit.
Refund requests can take up to 72 hours to be processed. Status can be checked on the Refund status tab or on the Xbox order history page. Refunds, if approved, are usually returned to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
If online refund is not available in North Macedonia, contact Microsoft Store Sales Support for your region from the Europe list under Help with Microsoft Store purchases.
If the purchase was made using a non-Microsoft billing platform (for example, through another store inside the app), the refund must be requested from that platform or the game publisher, because refunds are processed by the billing platform used for the purchase.
For accidental or unauthorized purchases, the same refund process applies via the Microsoft Store refund page.
