    Hello,

Is this a personal account or a work/school account?

If it is personal account, unfortunately once deleted from Recycle Bin, it is gone. It works as it is designed to do, the files cannot be recovered.

If this is a work/school account, it might be recoverable, depending on each organization's retention policy. Reach out to your organization's IT support team, they would know what the retention policy is for your organization and can recover for you if it is still within the defined retention period.

Deleted items that have also been removed from the OneDrive recycle bin are normally permanently deleted and cannot be recovered with any native OneDrive feature.

Only these options remain, and they work only in specific cases:

    1. Check the local PC Recycle Bin or Trash
      • If the files were synced and then deleted locally (not only online), they might still be in the Windows Recycle Bin (or Mac Trash).
      • Open Recycle Bin/Trash and restore from there if present.
    2. Check the OneDrive recycle bin again
      • Sign in to the OneDrive website.
      • In the left navigation, select Recycle bin and see if any items remain that can be restored.
      • If using a work or school account, items are kept up to 93 days unless the admin changed the setting.
    3. If using OneDrive for work or school (SharePoint-backed)
      • A SharePoint site collection administrator can restore items from the site collection recycle bin (second-stage recycle bin) if they still exist there.
      • If the item has also been deleted from the site collection recycle bin or exceeded retention, it is permanently deleted.
    4. Restore your entire OneDrive (only if Files Restore is available and the files were still present at that time)
      • If a Microsoft 365 subscription is in place and Files Restore is enabled, OneDrive can be restored to a previous point in time.
      • Note: If a file has already been permanently deleted from the OneDrive recycle bin, it cannot be recovered even with Files Restore.
    5. If using OneDrive for work or school and none of the above works
      • SharePoint Online keeps backups for 14 additional days beyond deletion. An administrator can contact Microsoft Support to request a restore of the entire site collection within that 14‑day window (not individual files).

If the files are not in any recycle bin, are not covered by a previous OneDrive restore point, and are beyond the backup window, there is no Microsoft-native way to get them back. At that stage, only third‑party file recovery tools on the local PC (if the files were ever stored locally) might help, and recovery is not guaranteed.
