    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how frustrating it is when your Outlook calendar on your iPhone will sync from your laptop but any changes made on the phone do not sync back, especially when you need both devices to stay fully updated.

This usually happens when the iPhone is using a different calendar source than the Outlook app, such as the iOS built‑in Mail app using an old Exchange or IMAP connection, or when the Outlook app on iPhone is not signed in with the same account that manages your primary calendar, which prevents new events from being written back to the server.

The best resolution is to open the Outlook app on your iPhone, make sure it is signed in with the same account as your laptop’s Outlook, and confirm that the event you are creating is being saved to the correct Outlook calendar rather than the “On My iPhone” or iCloud calendar, because only server‑based Outlook calendars can sync changes both ways. It may also help to remove the account from the iOS Settings app under Mail > Accounts if it is added there, and instead use only the Outlook mobile app since it handles Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com sync more reliably.

May I ask whether you are entering new calendar events directly in the Outlook app on your iPhone or in the Apple Calendar app, and whether your phone shows multiple calendar accounts? Please feel free to share more details, and I’ll be happy to help you move forward.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
