On Windows, open Outlook, go to the View tab, select Change View to pick Compact, Single, or Preview, and adjust Layout settings for Folder Pane, Reading Pane, and To-Do Bar. On Outlook web, full classic view is no longer available, but you can adjust message list and reading pane under Settings > View all Outlook settings > Layout.

Are you aiming for the full classic interface or just the old message layout?

To return to classic Outlook for Windows from the new Outlook:

1. Open the new Outlook for Windows.
2. In the upper-right corner of the window, locate the Outlook toggle.
3. Turn the toggle off.
4. When prompted, choose one of the options:
   • Switch back to classic Outlook – makes classic Outlook the default again. The next time Outlook is opened, it will use classic Outlook.
   • Use classic Outlook this time – opens classic Outlook just for this session, but keeps new Outlook as the default next time.
5. Follow any on-screen feedback prompt and select Submit if shown.

If the toggle is not visible in new Outlook:

1. Make sure classic Outlook is installed. If it is not, install it using the steps in You can't open classic Outlook on a new Windows PC (linked from the toggle article).
2. Try launching Outlook (classic) directly from the Windows Start menu. If it still redirects to new Outlook, use the toggle as above once it appears.

After switching back, both new Outlook and Outlook (classic) can be pinned to the taskbar and opened side-by-side if desired.
