Link outlook address when downloading from sharepoint list download # error

Hi,

I have linked my company address book to my SharePoint list.

When I select multiple people in the list and download it to excel, in the excel form I get people name as John Smith,#1 Mary Smith #2 , Bob Smith #3.

How do I remove the #number from the download excel file and just have peoples name as John Smith, Mary Smith , Bob Smith?

Normally when person or group field is exported, it will add the user id as number in the excel sheet since they are lookup fields.

It's by design and we cannot change it.

Thanks Julie! but it does not show when i just add one persons name. It only shows when its multiple. Also the #1 and #2 is not an ID. Is there a Code to change this at the back end?

Per my test, if the person column allow multiple selections, #number will occur regardless of whether I choose one person or multiple people, if the person column does not allow multiple selections, it will be exported without #number.

And there is no Code to change this at the back end.
