I am trying to upload a file to Azure Storage Explorer and it won't upload

I am very new to Azure and I am trying to follow a tutorial for a class I'm taking.
I have followed along - going to my storage, clicking on Blob containers then my container I built.
I created a new folder (which will only exist once I put a file in it)
So I click upload file - search for the csv file, click on it, click open....and nothing.
No error message, no circle of death, just nothing.

Please help - I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong.

    Hello @Renee Metherel ,
We are glad that able to help you out. I am summarizing here in the answer section so that if someone comes across similar issues they can see this section.

You can use the Azure Portal -> Storage Browser (Preview) Section of the storage account as an alternate to upload the files to blobcontainer.

    Hello @Renee Metherel ,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A . Uploading a file should be pretty straight forward.
I just recorded the same steps which you have been doing can you kindly go through it ?
Also try to upload with out creating the folder. The folder which you are trying to create is a Virtual one.
When you click on upload , there will be a status of the copy which will be shown in the bottom of the storage explorer.

(If you are still facing the issue, probably you can try recording like below and attach it ?)

I didn't upload the folders and things you see, they were there already when I logged in.
As I said this is for a course I'm taking.
I have never been able to upload, this is the first time I'm trying.
I don't know how to try using Azure Portal Menu.

This may help while I'm accumulating the screen shots you have asked for.
This is the link to the tutorial I was following and I was able to follow along right to the upload part - where mine doesn't show up.
