How you can go from the evaluation version (Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview Evaluation Copy) to the retail version without reinstalling Windows 11 from scratch

    If you're on Dev channel of Windows Insider, you may need to make clean install of stable/retail version.

    You may attempt to leave the Windows Insider Program.
    Navigate to Settings -> Update & Security -> Windows Insider Program -> Stop Insider Preview Builds.

    Hello MariusDan,

    At this moment the only "retail" version for Windows 11 is the direct upgrade from Windows 10. In this regard, Windows 11 follow an inherited activation model that requires to be upgraded over the Windows 10 product. (as explained here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/windows-10-subscription-activation)

    Up to this point, the evaluation copy or Technical Preview of Windows 11 does not offer option to move into a retail mode.
