To let a colleague test a new agent, share it with them based on where the agent was created.

If the agent was built in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app (Agent Builder / Copilot Chat):

    1. Finish building and testing the agent, then select Create.
    2. In the confirmation message, select Share or Change sharing settings.
    3. Choose Specific users in your organization.
    4. Enter the colleague’s name or email (or a security group) and select Save.
    5. Copy the link and send it to the colleague (email, Teams, etc.).

    Alternatively, after creation:

    1. Open the Microsoft 365 Copilot app.
    2. In the left pane, find the agent, select … (More) > Share.
    3. Choose Specific users in your organization, add the colleague, save, then copy and send the link.

If the agent was built in Copilot Studio (for chat testing):

    1. Open the agent in Copilot Studio.
    2. On the top menu bar, select > Share.
    3. Either:
      • Share with specific security groups so their members can chat with the agent, or
      • Select Everyone in <OrganizationName> and set permission to User – can use the agent.
    4. Select Copy link and send it to the colleague so they can chat with the agent.

If the agent is a OneDrive/SharePoint .agent file:

    1. In OneDrive or SharePoint, select the .agent file.
    2. Choose Share.
    3. Set sharing to the colleague (or a group) and send the link.
    4. Ensure the colleague also has access to the underlying files used by the agent; otherwise, responses will be incomplete.

Note: Agents always respect existing access permissions. If a colleague does not have access to a knowledge source (for example, a SharePoint file), the agent will not surface content from that source for them.
