Hey there! Nice to meet you!

If you do not have any linked verification methods for a password reset, I'm afraid the only way to recover/unblock the account is through the account recovery web form: https://account.live.com/acsr

Important: If you have an active 2FA, ACSR will inform you that your recovery request will be ignored. If you only receive a message that the recovery request is either successful or indicates insufficient information, this means that 2FA is disabled.

You'll need to keep trying until you're verified by Microsoft, and you can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

If you can't receive the results from the ACSR, please try submitting again via Incognito/InPrivate browser using different devices and network services. Then please check your email inbox, junk and spam folders within 24 hours.

If your Microsoft account recovery request was not granted, please review this link for tips on improving your chances of a successful recovery: https://support.microsoft.com/office/dc56c3e3-dff0-4ed5-8edb-60290eea6b53

Please be advised that Microsoft Support will not be able to assist you with manual recovery, unblock, and escalation for this case, as stated in this article, that they are not permitted to send password resets, access, or even change any details on the account:

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

When the Microsoft account recovery form says there is not enough information, the only supported options are to improve the form submission and try again, or use the Sign-in Helper if the recovery info shown does not look familiar.

    Use these steps:

    1. Review the guidance before retrying
      • Go through the official guidance for the recovery form carefully to see what extra details can be added: contacts, exact subject lines of recent emails, folders created, old passwords, Xbox/Skype usage, etc. See the sections under Step 2: Gather required information for Microsoft account recovery.
      • Make sure to answer every question that appears and use the “add more” options wherever available.
    2. Submit the recovery form again (up to 2 times per day)
      • Use the Account recovery form.
      • Complete it from a device and location that have been used to sign in before (for example, home or office Wi‑Fi). This increases the chance of successful verification.
      • Include as many old passwords as possible and any other Microsoft services used with the account (Outlook/Hotmail, OneDrive, Xbox, Skype, etc.).
      • If the request is not granted, it is allowed to try again as many times as needed, up to two times per day.
    3. If the form keeps failing
      • Use the dedicated article for unsuccessful recoveries: Recover account and follow the guidance there.
      • If the issue is that the additional security info (phone/email) shown during reset is not recognized, use the Sign-in Helper tool instead of the standard reset flow: Sign-in Helper.
    4. Understand support limitations
      • For security reasons, Microsoft support agents cannot bypass the process, send custom password reset links, or directly change account details. Only successful verification via the form or recognized security info can restore access.
    5. After successful recovery
      • Once access is restored, immediately review and update security info and follow the guidance in How to help keep your Microsoft account safe and secure to avoid future lockouts.
