I had office but switched to office 365 trial version for one month to test copilot integration, old office is deleted and new 365 added, but I miss copilot in outlook. How to fix it?

Follow these steps to get Copilot to appear in Outlook after moving to Microsoft 365:

    1. Confirm the correct account and license
      • In Outlook, go to File > Office Account (or Account).
      • Check the account shown at the top. It must be the account that has an active Copilot license (for home: Microsoft 365 Personal/Family with Copilot Pro; for business: a supported Microsoft 365 plan plus Microsoft 365 Copilot).
      • If the wrong account is primary, sign out and sign back in with the Copilot-licensed account.
    2. Make sure Office 365 is fully updated
      • In any Microsoft 365 app, go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now to install the latest build.
    3. Refresh the license
      • In any Microsoft 365 app, go to File > Account.
      • Select Update License.
      • Close Outlook and all other Office apps, then reopen Outlook and check for the Copilot button on the Home tab.
    4. Check privacy settings (Windows)
      • In Outlook (or another Office app), go to File > Account.
      • Under Account Privacy, select Manage Settings.
      • Turn on Experiences that analyze your content.
      • Scroll down and turn on All connected experiences.
      • Restart Outlook.
    5. If using a business/enterprise subscription, verify update channel
      • In File > Account, under Product Information, check the update channel.
      • If it shows Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel, Copilot features are not available. The device must be moved to Current Channel or Monthly Enterprise Channel by the organization’s IT/admin.

If Copilot is still missing after these steps, contact the Microsoft 365 admin (for work/school) to confirm that a Copilot-supported license is assigned and that Copilot is not blocked by organizational policies.
