How do I open an Edge browser window in Administrator mode?

To launch as administrator from a taskbar shortcut, hold down the shift key then right click and select Run as administrator.

On Windows 11, an elevated (administrator) Edge window is opened by starting Edge from an elevated process:

1. Select Start.
2. Type Microsoft Edge in the search box.
3. Right-click Microsoft Edge in the results.
4. Select Run as administrator.
5. Approve the UAC prompt.

If Edge is pinned to the taskbar or Start menu, right‑click the Edge icon, then right‑click Microsoft Edge in the jump list, and choose Run as administrator.
