Microsoft-hosted parallel

Hi everyone,

I recently submitted the request form to obtain the free Microsoft-hosted parallelism grant for Azure DevOps (private project). At the moment, my organization shows 0 Microsoft-hosted parallel jobs, so my pipelines cannot run.

I was wondering:

How long does it usually take for Microsoft to approve the free hosted parallelism request?

Is there any way to check the status of the request?

Are there common reasons why the approval might be delayed?

This is for a personal learning project (CI/CD experimentation), and I just want to understand the expected timeline.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Fabian Gonzalez Fragueiro ,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

  1. Approval time
    • It typically takes about 4–5 business days for the team to review your request and enable the free tier.
    • If everything in your request is in order, they’ll just flip the switch and you’ll see your parallelism in the org settings.
  2. Checking status
    • You should get a confirmation email when you submit the form. If you don’t hear back within a week, you can reply to that email or open a support ticket to follow up.
  3. Common causes of delay • Missing or incorrect details on the request form (e.g. mismatched email domain, typos) • High volume of requests • Additional verification needed (sometimes the team reaches out for more info)

If it’s been more than a week and you still see “0 hosted parallel jobs” in your org, just ping support or reply to your original confirmation email so they can take another look.

Hope this helps!
