I signed up to the upgrade to MS Copilot Premium a couple of days ago. It promised me 2TB of storage but my one drive is still only showing 1.2 TB. Please remedy this.

regards

Terry

Hi, well you can get 2TB with your subscription. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/onedrive/additional-file-storage I would check to see what you are paying at Services & Subscriptions https://account.microsoft.com/services

Thanks for checking and explaining that.

From what you described, it sounds like the upgrade may not have actually changed your subscription. Right now your account only shows Microsoft 365 Premium (1TB) plus your extra 200GB add-on, which is why OneDrive shows about 1.2TB.

The list you shared looks like a comparison or recommendation generated by Copilot, not necessarily the plan that was applied to your account. Copilot sometimes summarizes plans, but it does not confirm what was actually purchased.

The most reliable place to check is still:

If the upgrade to a 2TB plan had gone through, you would normally see a different subscription name or bundle listed there, not just Microsoft 365 Premium.

At this point I recommend checking one more thing:

    Yes it was. I took the offer in UK. I am beginning to wonder if Copilot led me to an incorrect conclusion. I asked it to compare the plan to my current family plan and it returned the following response;

    Here’s what’s new for you:

    • 2 TB of your own OneDrive storage (much more space for photos, files, and backups)

    • Full Office apps on all your devices (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

    • Copilot Pro included — faster, smarter AI in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more

    • Identity & credit monitoring for added online protection

    • Microsoft Defender Premium across your devices

    • Priority support from Microsoft if you ever need help

Thank you for letting me know.

Based on what you shared, your account currently shows Microsoft 365 Personal, which includes 1TB of OneDrive storage. The 1.22TB you see is likely the 1TB from the subscription plus the extra 200GB storage you purchased before.

Important: The Copilot Pro / Copilot Premium upgrade normally does not increase OneDrive storage to 2TB. It mainly adds the Copilot AI features to Microsoft 365 apps.

Since you mentioned the promotion specifically advertised 2TB, it would be best to confirm what was included in the offer you accepted.

    A couple of quick questions:

    1. Do you see Copilot Pro listed as a separate subscription under https://account.microsoft.com/services?
    2. Do you still have the purchase confirmation email that mentions the 2TB storage?

    Hi, I'm John!

After upgrading subscription, purchasing additional storage or freeing space, it can take up to 24 to 48 hours for everything to fully update across your account. I’d recommend waiting that time and then trying again to check emails or try to send.

If the update is still pending after 24 hours, you can try unlinking and relinking your OneDrive account, or resetting it. "Unlink and re-link OneDrive" https://support.microsoft.com/office/unlink-and-re-link-onedrive-3c4680bf-cc36-4204-9ca5-e7b24cdd23ea

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
