How can I stop getting the little pop-up windows announcing when a new email is received Classic Outloo0k. I found an answer on the WEB saying to go to outlook/settings/notification but apparently that is only for the website outlook.com. I don't see a notifications section in the application Outlook/settings.

In Classic Outlook for Windows, turn off the pop‑up “Desktop Alert” for new mail as follows:

  1. Open Classic Outlook.
  2. Select File.
  3. Select Options.
  4. In the left pane, choose Mail.
  5. Under Message arrival, clear the checkbox Display a Desktop Alert.
  6. Select OK to save.

This disables the little pop‑up window for new messages. (The Settings > Notifications path applies to Outlook.com or New Outlook, not Classic Outlook.)
