My database has been down for more than a day (reason given: Unknown reason). This is the summary:

Summary
Your Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible server is currently unavailable. We are working to resolve the problem.

And when I tried to restart the DB in Azure, it failed to restart. I saw a spike in connections prior to the crash but it didn't reach the limit of the DB. Can anyone provide tips and guides on recovery?

Hi admin

The current PostgreSQL Flexible Server has been unavailable for an extended period and restart attempts are failing, which indicates an underlying infrastructure or control‑plane issue that cannot be resolved through standard operations. To restore service as quickly and safely as possible, the recommended solution is to deploy a new Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server and perform a Point‑in‑Time Restore from the latest available backup. If geo‑redundant backups are enabled, the restore can be completed in a different Azure region to avoid any regional dependency. This approach creates a clean, healthy server instance and allows recovery of data up to the selected restore time. After the restore, application connection strings and networking configurations will need to be updated.

Hope this helps, Please let us know if you have any questions and concerns.
