For an AZ‑900 exam, the name on the exam registration must match the legal name on the ID used at the test center. Since the registration shows “Meenakshi S” and the ID shows “Meenakshi Subramanian,” the legal name on the certification profile must be updated before the exam.
Procedure:
- Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile that is linked to the AZ‑900 exam registration.
- Go to Settings in the Learn profile.
- In the Legal Name section, update the name so it exactly matches the ID (including full first name, last name, and order of names).
- Save the changes.
- If the portal does not allow the change or shows a message asking to contact support, open a ticket with Microsoft Credentials Support so they can correct the legal name on the certification profile:
- Go to the Credentials Support portal from the instructions in the reference below.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the exam.
- Choose the Learning/Microsoft Credentials product family and submit a support request explaining that the registered exam name must match the ID.
- If Pearson VUE is the delivery provider, support may also direct contacting Pearson VUE if any part of the name change must be reflected in their system, but the starting point is updating the Microsoft Learn/Credentials profile and contacting Microsoft Credentials Support.
Do this as early as possible before exam day so the change is processed in time.
