    Hello !

If you're trying to install Microsoft Office on your Mac, you need to go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and install Office from there. You do not need to add your Mac as a device in your Microsoft account.

You can directly go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365/details?openInstall=true# to see the Microsoft 365 installation screen. Select your language, download the .pkg file, and install Office by launching the package file.
Once installed, open any Office app, and log into your Microsoft account.

You should be good to go.

Please let me know if you have any other question !

I'm not sure what you are attempting to do. The only place I know of for adding a device pertains to registering Microsoft products, such as mice, keyboards, Xbox game systems, etc. That registration is for warranty purposes & doesn't pertain to other brands of products.
